A stray kitten's life was hard and harsh.
Azalia was just weeks old when she was roaming
across the streets, neglected from her family and home.
There she stood; no mother. No father. No-one that cared
for her. No-one that looked at her. No food, no water.
She had to survive on her own, and learn everything.
Weeks passed as she learned what food was and
that it was essential to stay alive.
Some of her siblings died of hunger and thirst.
But she managed to stay alive.
The weeks were cold and harsh.
Knowing she could not survive any longer without
her parents or any help, Azalia began to venture out to the city,
only in search of food across the street.
She scooted across the street, not knowing that there were cars coming
and that cars were quite dangerous.
Feeling something bump into her side, Az shrieked it out loud,
panicing as the car just rode over her, not stopping.
The helpless kitten just laid there, hoping for someone.
After a few moments, a man luckily rescued Az, taking her
to the vet immediately.
Due to his quick actions, she was still alive.
Azalia had a leg that was completely crushed and had
alot of nerve damage, meaning she didn't feel
anything and it was actually completely paralized.
The vetenarians decided to amputate the leg,
so she was free without having it dragging across
everything.
Since that car-accident she has also been blind in her left eye,
meaning she will mostly bend her neck inwards to look with her right eye,
and she also focusses alot on sounds.
Her left eye has been removed because it has been bleeding alot.
She was after being in alot of surgeries, adopted in a new home,
but has recently been venturing out alot, to find space in the wild.
